Chase Alexander - Day 2 at the Hospital

Took a video of the little guy when he was still attached to the respirator. Nakaka-awa. But he managed to stick his tongue at me a few times. :)

We're pleased to announce the birth of Chase Alexander Yu Tibay. :D

Birth weight: 3.765 kg
Length: 50 cm
Head circumference: 36 cm

The baby came out fine but a few hours later the doctor observed that the baby was having laboured breathing and was sent to the ICU, he's been on a respirator since yesterday, and so far his condition had been improving. We're hoping he'd be able to breathe on his own soon. Leah's healing fine.

UPDATE: He's been off the respirator since yesterday (27 Aug) and has been breathing on his own. He's been on tap since he was brought to the ICU and they'll be removing that today (28 Aug). He tried feeding from mommy this morning but mommy's not into full milk production mode yet. Nurses say he's been consuming 30 ml every three hours and will be jacked-up to 60 ml today. Woah! He will be released from the hospital on Sunday (30 Aug). Leah was released from the hospital today (28 Aug) and is resting. :)
