www.there.com

4:34 A.M. That's supposed to be me in the orange barong and the khaki
cargo shorts and sandals. Apparently, that ensemble is what they clothe
newbies on their first time in THERE. I haven't really spent my 5,000
worth of THERE currency to buy myself new rags but at least I got to
drive around in a borrowed 'Dune Buggy.' Somebody also loaned me
his/her 'Hoverboard' but I haven't really tried it out yet. I met a
teenager asking around people's ages and expressing her regrets about
not having to reach a certain age 'cause she's only got a year to live.
When I asked her why she says she has liver cancer and that she's
logged on using a laptop, confined at a health center somewhere in
middle America. Sad.

The
experience was both ridiculous and fascinating. I just don't know if
i'll go back THERE though... I better go home and get some sleep...

  2. i've never tried playing ozworld. and i don't know if it's a game at all. i think it's just like chat. but it does have a sims-like feel to it. signing up is free but you only have a 15-day trial period and after that they'd be requiring some payment for the "service," whatever "that" is...
