Roaming Around Manila On Trains




07-25-2005: On a weekend with nothing to do, a friend and I decided to go around Manila on Trains. From makati, we took the MRT3 train to cubao and went around Gateway Mall, then from there, we rode the LRT2 train to Recto. Then from Recto, we went to Monumento via LRT. Bought DVDs and software in Monumento mall then went home. LRT from Monumento to Pasay Rotonda, MRT 3 from Pasay Rotonda to Boni Avenue then home sweet home. Fun day. :D

    camera lang actually yung dala ko so i guess walang choice yung mga guards, nagkasya na lang sila na pagsabihan ako na bawal mag-shoot sa station. care ko na lang di ba? tigas ulo ko eh. :D

    cool photos! and lucky you ... the last (and actually the first time) i took a photo in MRT Shaw Station, the guard told me that taking photos were not allowed ... nice idea though, so queber -- lolz ;))

    I tried doing the same thing. sinabihan ako ng guard na bawal kaya tumigil ako. nice shots of gateway mall.

    Actually, bawal talaga, i guess wala lang choice yung mga guards if i did take photos cause yun lang camera ang dala ko that time. and di rin ako nagpapahuli na nagkukuha ng photos... salamat! :)

    Gateway mall stands on and around the araneta coliseum in cubao. Uleb recommends watching a movie there, they have lay-z boys for theater chairs and one of the cinemas offer bottomless soda and popcorn. I have yet to experience that... pag maganda yung pelikula dun sa cinema na yun baka subukan ko one of these days... :) uwi ka na, libre mo ako...

    linis nga, pero di naman rush hour when i took this one. di ko lang alam kung anong conditions sa LRT 2 pag uwian. :D and parang mababait yung mga pasahero. ewan ko, baka dahil lang dun sa ambience nung tren kaya feeling ko mababait yung mga pasahero. :D

    this is the walkway from the Recto station ng LRT2 connecting it to the LRT 1 station in recto. they sort of screened the sides kaya di na nakita ng camera yung mga shanty houses alongside the walkway. i guess it serves a very cosmetic purpose but it is convenient for commuters and pedestrians naman.

    di naman holdapable ang camera ngayon, mahirap i-benta. siguro kung maliit na camera yung dala ko baka mas-napansin pa. di nga pinapansin sa akin yung napagka-laking camera eh. :D ewan ko lang. :D

    salamat! di-nedma ko lang naman yung mga guards and took photos anyway. what are they gonna do? take away my memory card? :D
